Application scenario: Zhuhai Yueyufeng Steel Co., Ltd. (2.5 million tons/year long-process steel plant). Auxiliary waste heat and sintering waste heat boiler pump systems were aging, hydraulic mismatch caused valve throttling losses, coastal high salinity environment led to impeller corrosion perforation within 1–2 years. Under constant-speed operation at low load, excessive feedwater recirculation increased auxiliary power consumption rate. Media included 104°C/4.2MPa deaerated feedwater, 105°C boiler softened hot water, and dust-containing washing turbid water, with multiple harsh conditions.
Solution content: M&W ENERGY SAVING supplied three categories of pump sets: DG multistage high-pressure feedwater pumps (4.2MPa, 316 stainless steel impeller, variable frequency linked DCS automatic control), XS400-620 clean circulating cooling pumps (2800 m³/h / 72 m / ≥86%, 2 operating + 1 standby, duplex steel impeller), desulfurization and dust removal flushing pumps (high wear-resistant anti-corrosion coating). Full coastal anti-corrosion design: stainless steel/duplex steel flow parts, epoxy zinc-rich + heavy-duty anti-corrosion paint, motor salt-fog insulation + electric tracing, all bolts and flanges in 304 stainless steel. CFD customized three-dimensional flow impeller improves efficiency by 12%–18%, cartridge mechanical seal with PLAN23 flushing, heavy-duty shaft system G2.5 dynamic balance.
Project results: Boiler water system energy saving ≥26%, annual electricity savings exceeding one million RMB; overhaul cycle extended from 1 year to 3 years, maintenance cost reduced by 65%; eliminated steam drum level fluctuation and boiler overheating risks.
