M&W Energy Saving makes efforts on low carbon development with Iron and Steel enterprises

In accordance with the guidelines of the CPC Central Committee and The State Council on Implementing the New Development Philosophy to achieve carbon peak and Carbon Neutrality in a complete, accurate and comprehensive manner, we will focus on the goal of carbon peak by 2030 and make overall plans for carbon peak work. Iron and steel industry is an important field as the implementation of carbon peak and carbon reduction. Recently, Hunan M&W Energy Saving Technology&Science Co., Ltd. and Hebei Zongheng Group Fengnan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. are putting into action to vigorously promote energy-saving technology transformation and help double carbon green action.
Hebei Zongheng Group Fengnan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. is located in The Lingang economic development zone, Fengnan District, Tangshan city, Hebei Province. The company has an annual output of 7.9 million tons of pig iron, 7.7 million tons of steel, 7.74 million tons of steel, 1.87 million tons of coke. It is a collection of sintering, pelletizing, iron, steel, steel rolling as one of the large iron and steel joint enterprise.
Through the field investigation and analysis of the circulating water system of Hebei Zongheng Group Fengnan Iron and Steel Co., LTD., we designed a systematic energy-saving scheme. After the completion of the energy-saving transformation, it is expected to save about 17.81 million KWH of electricity and reduce 17755.6 kg of emissions annually.
In order to actively respond to the national action plan based on the premise of "carbon peak" and the ultimate goal of "carbon neutrality", carbon emission reduction is the most important measure for the iron and steel industry to deal with climate change, but also the biggest challenge for sustainable development.
