Shanxi Longhua Kou Water Diversion Project four pumping stations energy-saving pump system | Shanxi, Yangquan / Xinzhou

Application scenario: major provincial water conservancy project (Phase II of Shanxi Water Network), RMB 2.03 billion investment, operated by Wanjiazhai Water Control Group, designed 50 million m³/d (future 70 million). Water source from Hutuo River reservoir. Covers entire Yuxian county and Yangquan urban/suburban areas. Four stations: intake station + stage 1/2/3 booster stations, 2.9 km tunnel + 81.64 km pressure pipeline + high-level regulating wells. Taihang mountainous region: winter -22℃ / summer 37℃, daily temperature difference >55℃; sediment-heavy floodwater; high hardness scaling; long pipeline water hammer; continuous operation 365 days with only short maintenance windows at night.

 

Solution content: M&W ENERGY SAVING supplied LC + XS + DG pump systems: LC500-260 intake pump (4.5 m³/s / 24 m, 4 units 3 standby, 2507 duplex impeller, anti-silt flushing, 10kV VFD), XS600-670 / 500-690 first/second stage booster pumps (3600–4600 m³/h / 30–38 m / ≥87.2%, 6 units 4 standby each, 10kV multi-pump VFD control), XS400-630 third-stage main pipeline pump (2 standby 1 operating), DG180-46×7 high-lift booster pump (320 m head, 316L wetted parts). Graded materials 304/316L/2507; ZG20Mn low-temp steel -22℃ no brittle fracture; Sa2.5 blasting + epoxy zinc-rich + wind/sand corrosion coating; stainless fasteners; silicon carbide seals; electric tracing for cold start. Project results: energy saving 24%–29%, annual electricity saving RMB 1.35 million; overhaul cycle extended from 3–5 months to 12+ months; maintenance cost reduced by 68%; 24h VFD ensures stable pressure across Yuxian/Yangquan, reducing leakage.
