Laos Houay Lamphan Gnai Hydropower Station water supply pump export project ｜ Sekong Province, Laos

Application scenario: EPC by PowerChina Gezhouba Group, operated by EDL, 88MW diversion-type hydropower station with 14.1 million m³ reservoir capacity, core power source in southern Laos. Bolaven Plateau tributaries converge; steep terrain and high sediment load (>80% coarse particles during flood season); tropical rainforest climate 24–42℃, humidity >95%, 7-month rainy season causing severe corrosion and mold; unstable grid 340–460V; 6.5 km diversion tunnel with 600 m head causing strong water hammer; overseas maintenance cycle exceeds 30 days.

 

Solution content: M&W ENERGY SAVING exported XS split-case pumps + LC vertical shaft pumps + DG multistage pumps: XS500-680 / 450-650 intake pumps (2600–3600 m³/h / 26–32 m / ≥87%, 4 units 3 standby, 415V wide-voltage VFD linked to water level), XS350-630 / 300-570 cooling pumps (1200–2400 m³/h / 34–60 m, multi-pump VFD control), LC400-220 sediment lifting pumps (5 units 4 standby, 2507 duplex stainless steel, anti-silt flushing ports), DG120-48×6 fire booster pumps (316L wetted parts). Graded corrosion protection (304/316L/2507); ZG20Mn casing Sa2.5 blasting + epoxy zinc-rich + tropical H-class coating; stainless fasteners; silicon carbide seals; IP55 tropical motor + electric tracing; 340–460V wide-voltage start.
