Xinjiang Jinte Steel waste heat power generation pump package project | Hejing County, Bayingolin, Xinjiang

Application scenario: Xinjiang Jinte Steel (long-process steel plant in Hejing County, Bayingolin Prefecture). Supporting 2×18MW waste heat power plant using blast furnace gas + sintering cooling waste heat. Covers condenser circulating water, boiler feedwater, heating network, and demineralized water systems. Extreme Gobi climate: summer 42°C, winter -32°C, diurnal temperature difference over 70°C, highly corrosive saline-alkali water. Before retrofit, cast iron pumps suffered brittle fracture in low temperature, seals and impellers required frequent maintenance every 3–6 months, and constant-speed throttling losses accounted for over 25% of power consumption.

Solution content: Complete supply of four pump categories: XS500-700 condenser circulating pump (4000 m³/h / 68 m / ≥86.8%, 3 operating + 1 standby, 6kV variable frequency), DG280-140×7 multistage feedwater pump (105°C / 4.5MPa, 316L impeller), XSR400-630 waste heat heating network pump (115°C, dual cooling circuit), corrosion-resistant demineralized water pump (duplex stainless steel flow parts). Gobi-specific design: ZG20Mn low-temperature alloy cast steel pump body, -32°C electric tracing cold start, 304 stainless fasteners, epoxy zinc-rich + salt-alkali resistant dual coating, silicon carbide mechanical seal. CFD three-dimensional impeller improves efficiency by 10%–16%, variable frequency linked DCS automatic control.

Project results: Adapted to plateau conditions, serving 10MW waste heat power plant, comprehensive energy saving rate ≥24%, annual electricity savings over 1.3 million RMB; overhaul cycle extended from 3–6 months to 12–18 months, maintenance saving ~550,000 RMB/year; annual standard coal saving over 900 tons. One of the few integrated pump systems in China addressing both extreme cold protection and saline-alkali corrosion, replicable in Xinjiang steel plants such as Ba Yi Steel and Kunlun Steel.
