Application scenario: Urban heating project in Guangrao County, Shandong. Guangrao Hongyuan Thermal Energy Co., Ltd. implemented centralized heating transformation based on waste heat recovery from Huatai Power Plant 2×135MW units. Previously, low-temperature circulating water waste heat was directly discharged and wasted, while urban heating relied on small coal-fired boilers. After retrofit, low-temperature circulating water waste heat is utilized, providing 4 million m² heating in phase one and 8 million m² total capacity.


Solution content: M&W ENERGY SAVING supplied XSR single-stage double-suction split case heating network circulating pumps, flow 6000 m³/h, head 120 m, equipped with 2800 kW high-voltage motor, suitable for 70–130°C high-temperature heat medium. Bidirectional rotor design reduces water hammer impact, independent high-temperature cooling system + mechanical seal independent flushing heat exchange system ensures no leakage under high temperature, three-dimensional flow hydraulic model improves efficiency by 2–3 percentage points over traditional pumps.


Project results: Replaced distributed coal-fired boilers and reduced emissions, achieving waste heat resource utilization from power plants. Future upgrade potential to 5600 kW steam-electric dual drive; during non-heating seasons, supply industrial hot water to paper workshops, enabling year-round waste heat utilization.
