Shanxi Power Plant 2×350MW unit heating network circulating pump project | Taiyuan, Shanxi

Application scenario: 2×350MW steam turbine generator units of a power plant in Shanxi. The original heating system had limited waste heat recovery capability. An absorption heat pump was used to recover waste heat from circulating cooling water, with a newly built heat pump station and heat exchange station, equipped with heating network circulating pumps to deliver up to 100°C hot water, expanding urban centralized heating.


Solution content: M&W ENERGY SAVING supplied XSR series dedicated heating network circulating pumps. All wetted parts are made of 316 stainless steel, equipped with 6kV high-voltage YKK series motors (energy efficiency Grade 2 or above). Independent cooling circuit designed for 100°C inlet water, heavy-duty shaft system resisting thermal deformation, optimized three-dimensional flow hydraulic model, standardized package supply (pump body + motor + base + piping accessories).


Project results: Equipment service life up to 30 years, additional heating area of approximately 2.1 million m², total plant heating capacity reaching 9.61 million m², replacing a large number of small coal-fired boilers with significant energy-saving and emission reduction effects. Waste heat recovery + high-efficiency pump system jointly reduced coal consumption and auxiliary power, becoming a benchmark case for 350MW-class thermal power waste heat heating systems.
