Recently, M&W PUMP Energy Saving successfully completed the delivery of twelve BB3 multistage split-case pumps customized for a long-distance crude oil transportation pipeline project of a national oil company in the Middle East. This delivery marks a major breakthrough for our company in the specialized crude oil transportation sector. The project signifies our transition from traditional clean-water applications to challenging and high-demand crude oil transportation, establishing a key market pathway for deepening our presence in the Middle East and Belt and Road regions, and for undertaking large refining and oil & gas infrastructure projects.

Adaptability to extreme operating conditions
The product is capable of operating stably in the extreme temperature variations of desert environments, maintaining reliable performance from −10°C to 55°C to secure stable transport across an 800 km pipeline.

Handling variable media
With built-in bearing lubrication and cooling circuits, the product adapts to high-temperature and high-load conditions, effectively extending bearing life and reducing maintenance frequency.

This project fully demonstrates our solid capabilities in product R&D, full-process quality control, and engineering execution of large-scale projects. Technical Advantages: Professional Expertise Ensures Reliable Operation

The BB3 split-case pump used in this project is a strategic product developed by M&W PUMP specifically for severe conditions in the international petrochemical industry. It fully complies with API610 12th Edition standards and is designed to address challenges such as high pressure, high viscosity, serial operation, and long-distance crude transportation.

Before delivery, every pump underwent comprehensive testing including hydraulic performance, mechanical operation, and pressure testing. All key performance indicators exceeded contractual requirements, ensuring long-term stable operation of the pipeline.

The series achieves breakthroughs in the following critical areas:

Hydraulic optimization for long-distance transportation
Using improved dual-volute design, optimized impeller–volute tongue matching, and staggered interstage hydraulic configuration, the pumps significantly enhance efficiency and maintain stable pressure and flow over hundreds of kilometers.

Adaptability to high-viscosity media
With optimized flow channels and special inlet–outlet angles, fluid resistance is reduced, ensuring efficient operation under varied oil viscosities.

High-pressure structural strength
Using advanced finite element analysis and optimized casting, the pump casing passed a 12.6 MPa hydrostatic test in one go, ensuring reliable pressure resistance for long-distance pipelines.

Excellent rotor dynamics
A heavy-duty shaft and precision dynamic balancing ensure superior vibration performance under high-speed and high-load conditions, extending service life.

High-temperature and thermal shock resistance
To withstand extreme heat and intermittent cooling challenges, the pump adopts near-centerline support for superior thermal symmetry, while the bearing housing uses cast cooling fins with fan cooling to eliminate the need for onsite cooling water.

Wear-resistant sealing system
For crude oil containing sand, a PLAN 11 + 66B mechanical seal scheme with SiC wear-resistant materials significantly improves operational life in harsh conditions.
